Incorporating active motion and isometric effort to improve flexibility and enhance motor learning based on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. Facilitated stretching is crucial to developing an adequate treatment plan for sports massage.
Following a regional approach by functions of muscle groups around specific joints, you will learn how to stretch each major muscle in the body, both individually and in groups. In addition, you will discover how to use group-pattern stretches to improve flexibility and coordination and individual muscle stretches to relax tight muscles and break up adhesion’s within or between muscles.
